Aertssen: crane planning as an integrated system

Aertssen Group was not looking for a better planning board, but for one chain from planning to invoice. With SOLUTIO Crane Planner v2.0, mobile registration and an integration with Dynamics 365 F&O, that chain now runs all the way into finance.

Crane Planner, built as a standard application

1 flow

from planning and registration to invoice

integrations: Dynamics 365 F&O, GeoDynamics and a data warehouse

Why is crane planning more than moving blocks on a board?

A crane job is never just a crane. It combines equipment, accessories, crew, timing, certificates, set-up and dismantling, transport and the customer's expectations. If one element is off, the whole puzzle shifts, and that always costs money, time or peace of mind.

The real profit or loss only shows up in registration and invoicing. Every mismatch between what was planned and what was registered means extra communication, manual corrections and invoice disputes. Aertssen wanted to remove that noise.

Crane Planner connects planning, mobile registration and ERP invoicing in one flow.

How does Aertssen plan with Crane Planner today?

SOLUTIO Crane Planner v2.0 grew out of the co-creation with Aertssen and the experience at Sarens, and became a standard application for crane rental.

Planning on deployability

Crane, accessories and crew are planned as one unit, with skills and certificates as hard conditions.

Conflict detection while planning

Conflicts and constraints show up as you plan, and scenarios with drag and drop keep replanning under control.

Mobile app on site

Operators and dispatch see the day plan, task details and checklists, and register directly on the job.

Straight through to invoicing

Through Dynamics 365 F&O, planning data and registrations flow to the invoice without copy work.

One source of truth

GeoDynamics and a central data warehouse give operations and finance the same picture.

What are the results?

Higher utilisation of cranes and crews, with less replanning

More clarity on site: planning, checklists and registrations in one flow

Faster, more accurate invoicing without manual translation into the ERP

A repeatable template for other crane rental companies

“Faster invoicing is not a finance trick. It is the result of a closed planning chain.”

GO-VIRTUAL, Aertssen customer case

Why is this relevant for your organisation?

1.

One planning truth

Plan equipment, people, skills and safety in the same system.

2.

Register where the work happens

The site registers on the same job as the plan, so disputes disappear.

3.

A chain all the way into the ERP

Invoicing and reporting rely on the same consistent data.
